Hello!

From teaching myself 3D animation as a kid to hand-coding Neopets profiles, I’ve always been drawn to both the craft of making things and the systems behind them.

Product design felt like the one place where all of my interests could exist together.

Early in my career, I came across Don Norman’s "The Design of Everyday Things" and one idea stuck. When people can’t figure something out, they assume they’re “stupid.” But Norman argues the fault almost always belongs to the design. I think about that constantly, and it’s why I design experiences that feel obvious to everyone.

Outside of work you can find me,

  • Rating films on Letterboxd
  • Obsessing over vintage Danish furniture
  • Practicing my Chinese in local language meetups

Design Philosophy

  1. Constraints are a creative tool, not a limitation. They sharpen thinking and often lead to better solutions.
  2. Data informs judgment, but does not replace it. Good design requires knowing when to look beyond what the numbers say.
  3. Inspiration is everywhere. The best ideas often come from unexpected connections between unrelated experiences.
